Welcome
to the B.A. Truck website, we are pleased
that you have come to visit us. Motor sport
enthusiasts come in many sizes and ages, yet
they all appreciate multiple types of motor
vehicles. The common denominators are
appearance, power, and speed. The B.A. Truck
fills the bill in these areas and more! For
this vehicle combines some of the latest
technologies in racing along with the smooth
flowing lines of classic American
automobiles. Whether one prefers the
nostalgia trip or just pure high-tech
horsepower, this truck will deliver. The
original 1947 Dodge steel body, carries the
day for that Classic look. For those who
truly enjoy the vehicles of those days gone
by, to see one more Born Again, makes
their automotive day. The modern fiberglass
fenders provide durability and repair
ability that the original steel could not.
These classic lines are covered by the
latest paints to come from Detroit. The
white that you see is a Cadillac white pearl
used on 2004 model cars, it is gorgeous on
these body lines! The black paint, covering
the front end, is the purest black that can
be found. It reminds me of the early days of
Ford Motor Co. when a new car or truck could
be purchased in any of three colors, black,
charcoal, or ebony. The choice is yours as
to which your preference might be, the
darkest, richest black, or the latest
high-tech luster of white pearlescent paint,
both are present. Remember the Chrysler
Corp. advertising campaign of the early 70’s
where the corporate slogan was “On the
eighth day GOD created the Hemi”. The way
those motors ran, it seemed that they
were of Divine origin. To this day no
motor can instill the chill in one’s spine
that a valve cover with spark plug wires
protruding from the center can! The power
plant for this truck is just as unusual as
the body. A bit of Detroit is on board with
the factory Chrysler (1966 NASCAR) Hemi
engine block. This is the foundation of our
power source. At the bottom, a 4.5” billet
crankshaft provides the leverage for torque
that can move any load. A pair of Indy
cylinder heads provide air flow in
sufficient quantities to produce high-end
horsepower to finish the task at hand with
the speed expected of a 550 cu. In. Chrysler
Hemi. The BDS 14-71 blower stuffs life
giving oxygen to the methanol provided
through the classic Enderle “bird- catcher”
top hat. These components provide a visual
image that all auto- enthusiasts can relate
to. The thunder and crackle from the
exhaust, along with the whine of the
supercharger and the smell of spent
methanol, provide the sounds and odor of
sheer power that accompany this package. The
package is complete, sight, sound and smell,
old and new, all working in harmony. You now
have a basic understanding of the Born Again
package. Yet, the question that begs to be
asked is this “What can this truck do for
me? I like the truck, but what is in it for
my organization or association?” This
vehicle is available for display or
exhibition at your location. The Born
Again Truck is actually an exhibition
2wd truck-pull/ wheel-stander. Due to
its atypical configuration and eye catching
appearance, it can serve in many other
venues as a display vehicle, whether that
venue is secular or sacred. As an
illustration of restoration and/or
modernization in the secular realm of
automotive history, the B.A. Truck fits
well. In the realm of racing, it is just as
well suited, for the hot-rodding of these
vehicles has been a part of the American
automotive culture for many years, for show
or go, the B.A. Truck will get the job done.
In the realm of the sacred the B.A. Truck
provides a vivid picture of the restoration
available to mankind. When one compares the
story of this truck to the story of mankind,
the parallels are unmistakable. In the
setting of troubled children with broken
lives, or an adult with a broken marriage
relationship, the B.A. Truck provides a
message of hope, and the possibility of
restoration. These human conditions are
parallel to the condition of this truck at
the time prior to its restoration. The B.A.
Truck has a 14 page booklet describing its
components and its process of restoration,
(with human parallels). This booklet will be
available wherever the truck is displayed or
exhibited.
The Born Again Truck is owned and operated
by a 501(c3) organization. A 501
organization is a not for profit
corporation.
